Founded in 2001, Berwick Travel/Berwick Voyages focuses on luxury vacation experiences including river cruises and small-ship ocean sailings, along with Caribbean, Mexico, and Hawaii getaways. We’ve built strong relationships with the most respected travel suppliers in the industry and achieved top commission levels. Some leads will be provided, but we’re especially looking for motivated advisors who aren’t afraid to pick up the phone, build relationships, and grow their client base.

Job Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients via phone, email, and text to determine travel needs, budgets and preferences.
• Follow up consistently with leads.
• Sell and coordinate transportation, accommodations, insurance, tours and activities.
• Advise clients regarding destinations, cultures, customs, weather and activities.
• Collect payments, book travel arrangements and pay applicable fees.
• Handle travel issues, conflicts, complaints, cancellations and refunds.
• Build and maintain relationships with travel suppliers.
• Participate in ongoing travel webinars, seminars, and conferences.
• Conduct research on destinations and industry trends.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, transactions, phone calls and meetings.
• Contribute to agency efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

• Strong sales and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to negotiate effectively
• Strong knowledge of computers and related technology is a must
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented and highly organized
• Strong ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize projects
• Working knowledge of domestic and international travel trends

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in tourism, travel, hospitality, business, communication, or related field(s) strongly preferred
• Up to date on applicable state licensing or registration requirements
• Experience working in the travel industry is a plus

Hours/Schedule:

• This position is for a commission-based, remote independent contractor and no set hours are required. However we are looking for individuals who will put in full time type hours to grow the business. On some occasions evenings and weekend communications may be needed as per client needs.
